  The Paganza app, led by Marcelo Lanfranconi, a graduate in Systems Engineering, along with Leonardo Vernazza, was recognized by the Uruguayan Chamber of Information Technology (CUTI) as the best app in the Uruguayan technology industry in 2017. The award ceremony took place on December 13, 2017, at the Club de los Industriales at LATU.
• 2017 Uruguayan Men's Futsal Champions

Álvaro Buela, catedrático de Realización Audiovisual de la Facultad de Comunicación y Diseño, recibió el martes 12 de diciembre de 2017 un reconocimiento a la trayectoria como cineasta por parte de la Asociación de Críticos de Cine del Uruguay a propósito de los 20 años de Una forma de bailar, película que marcó un hito en el nuevo cine uruguayo y ganadora del primer premio del Fondo para el Fomento y Desarrollo de la Producción Audiovisual Nacional (FONA).

  As part of the LEVEL UY Gamedev Summit, the awards ceremony for the National Video Game Competition was held on December 7, 2017, at the Mario Benedetti Auditorium at Antel. In the mobile category, Juan Pais, a graduate of the Bachelor’s program in Animation and Video Games, and Maximiliano Mañay won first prize for their video game Super Scaloni.

  The first prize in the "Diseñá tu Colet" design contest, organized by Conaprole under the slogan "Make history with Colet—design the new look for the most famous chocolate drink," was awarded on December 5, 2017, to the Jobes 90 team, composed of Florencia Belén, Victoria Gutiérrez, and Joaquín Obes, senior students in the Bachelor of Graphic Design program.
