• A project submitted by the research group at the School of Engineering was selected by ANII for funding

  The project "Mathematics Based on Functional Programming Languages," submitted by the Theoretical Computing Group (CompuTe) of the School of Engineering to the "Acortando Distancias" program of the National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII), was selected for funding on December 20, 2013.
• ANII approved projects submitted by biotechnology faculty members

  In December 2013, the Energy Sector Fund of the ANII (National Agency for Research and Innovation) approved two projects proposed by biotechnology faculty members, which will be carried out from February 2014 to February 2016 at the Biotechnology Laboratory.
• Paganza was named the third most innovative startup in the Emprendo competition
  Dec. 12, 2013
  Paganza, a startup supported by the CIE (Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship), was voted by the public as the third most innovative startup in the Emprendo competition, organized by the newspaper El Observador. Meanwhile, Smartway was selected as one of the 14 most innovative proposals to be included in the voting. The winners were announced on December 11, 2013.
