• The School of Management and Social Sciences ranks among the best business schools in Latin America

  For the 21st consecutive year, the School of Management and Social Sciences was the only Uruguayan business school ranked among the best in Latin America in the annual ranking published by América Economía magazine. In the 2016 edition, the school was ranked 23rd.
• A graduate's startup was selected to participate in the 2016 Global Entrepreneurship Summit

  The startup ZHÚ, co-founded by Analaura Antúnez, a graduate of the Bachelor of Industrial Design program, was selected in May 2016 from among 500 startups worldwide to participate in the 2016 Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES16).
• A team of students from the School of Engineering won the 2016 24-Hour Innovation Competition

  The CaffaTeam, composed of students from the Systems Engineering and Systems Science programs, was the Uruguayan winner of the 2016 24 Hours of Innovation international competition for its T.I.M.M.I. (Internet-Controlled Smart Terminal) project. The competition took place on May 24, 2016, at Antel’s Telecommunications Tower.
