• Computer Science Graduate Awarded Scholarship from the Carolina Foundation

  Sebastián Goday, a graduate of the Bachelor of Science in Systems program, received a full scholarship from the Carolina Foundation to pursue a University MBA in Technology Business Management at the Nebrija University Business School in Madrid.
• Communication student wins the "Guillermo Waksman" First Prize in Political Journalism

  Marcos Rey, a student in the Bachelor of Communication program, won the (shared) First Prize in the "Guillermo Waksman" Political Journalism Contest—held as part of the celebrations marking the 25th anniversary of the weekly newspaper Brecha—for his piece "Izquierda (in) segura."
• Student is part of the Uruguayan team that took third place in a NASA competition

  The proposal by the Uruguay Group—composed of Mathias Cenas, a student in the Operating Systems and Networks Technician program; Victoria Alonso-Pérez, a student at the University of the Republic; and Maximiliano Pereira, a student at the University of Labor of Uruguay—mentored by architect Giorgio Gaviraghi of the eDL studio in Montevideo, won third place in the competition organized by NASA and the National Institute of Aerospace (NIA), as part of the RASC-AL (Revolutionary Aerospace Systems Concepts Academic Linkage) project.
