June 1, 2011The proposal by the Uruguay Group—composed of Mathias Cenas, a student in the Operating Systems and Networks Technician program; Victoria Alonso-Pérez, a student at the University of the Republic; and Maximiliano Pereira, a student at the University of Labor of Uruguay—mentored by architect Giorgio Gaviraghi of the eDL studio in Montevideo, won third place in the competition organized by NASA and the National Institute of Aerospace (NIA), as part of the RASC-AL (Revolutionary Aerospace Systems Concepts Academic Linkage) project.
