• Award Ceremony for the 2014 Ibero-American Scholarship for Young Professors and Researchers

  On June 25, 2014, the university hosted a ceremony to award the 2014 Ibero-America Scholarship for Young Professors and Researchers, granted by Santander Universities. Dr. Santiago Matalonga, a research professor in software engineering at the School of Engineering, is the recipient of the scholarship.
• A professor in the biotechnology program represented Uruguay at the “Meeting with the Nobel Laureates”

  Magdalena Cárdenas, a professor of molecular biology in the biotechnology programs at the School of Engineering, was selected by Uruguay to participate in the “Meeting of Nobel Laureates,” an international event that brings together outstanding young scientists from around the world. The event took place from June 29 to July 4 in Lindau, Germany.
