    Journalist Leonardo Haberkorn, a professor in the Bachelor of Communication program with a concentration in Journalism, has been named The Associated Press (AP) correspondent in Montevideo. The appointment was announced on August 16, 2013, by AP’s regional editor for Latin America and the Caribbean, Marjorie Miller, from her office in Mexico City. "Haberkorn is recognized as one of Uruguay’s best journalists, known for his objectivity and commitment to the facts," Miller said. "We are very pleased to have him at AP and are excited about the coverage he will provide on the country," she added.
