Research

Research activities strengthen the development of the university community and enrich the learning processes. They expand the participation of scholars, provide research training opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students, and connect the university to international academic networks. Moreover, they promote the continual updating of teaching methods and curriculum content, and foster relationships with the productive sector and society at large.

    These works are the result of a comprehensive program to promote scientific research, which includes the development of doctoral programs for faculty and the creation of research groups, accompanied by corresponding hires and investments in equipment, materials, and bibliographic resources.

  • Research Support Fund

    Research Support Fund

    Universidad ORT Uruguay has a Research Support Fund aimed at fully or partially covering the costs of submitting articles to peer-reviewed scientific journals and conferences.

    This is an annual fund, available year-round. Applications must be submitted to the dean of the relevant school.

  • Carolan Research Forum

    An open competition for applied research projects seeking funding, inspired by the work of Dr. Geraldine Fennell.

    Fennell was a visiting professor and researcher at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) and dedicated her life to marketing research and advancing the discipline.

  • Australian Studies Centre

    Australian Studies Centre

    The Australian Studies Centre (ASC) is an academic institute dedicated primarily to strengthening academic and cultural ties between Australia and the region, particularly Uruguay.

    It works with researchers, students, and academics in fields of mutual interest to Australia and Uruguay, helping to build academic relationships between the two countries.
