Dr. Pablo Landoni

Academic Vice Rector

Dr. Landoni holds a Master’s in Public Administration and Policy from Cornell University (United States) and a Law degree from the University of the Republic (Uruguay).

He was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship for his postgraduate studies (LASPAU Program) and as a researcher (New Century Scholar).

He has held leadership positions at several national universities, where he has also taught and conducted research.

An author of books and articles, he is also a frequent speaker on higher education policy and management.

He is an affiliated member of the Program for Research on Private Higher Education (PROPHE) at the Department of Educational Policy and Leadership, State University of New York at Albany (United States).

He previously served on the Accreditation Commission for the MERCOSUR Accreditation Mechanism (ARCU-SUR) and on the Advisory Council for Private Higher Education at Uruguay’s Ministry of Education and Culture.

Furthermore, he has acted as a peer evaluator of universities and undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Colombia, Chile, and Paraguay, and as a consultant for the OECD in its study of the higher education system in Mexico.

From 1992 to 1995, he was Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Culture, and from 2020 to 2024 he served as the Ministry’s Director General of the Secretariat.
