• Professor of Public Accounting Joins IFRS Foundation Advisory Group

  Carlo Alzati, a professor of Accounting Theory in the Public Accounting program, has been a member of the International Financial Reporting Standards Foundation (IFRS) advisory group since April 2014.
• Graduate projects received support from the Montevideo Audiovisual Partnership Program

  Two projects involving graduates of the Bachelor’s Degree in Audiovisual Communication received funding from the first 2014 call for proposals of the Montevideo Audiovisual Partner Program, administered by the Montevideo Film Commission of the Municipality of Montevideo. The results were announced on April 24, 2014.
• The Scratch MOOC for Teens course was selected to participate in the World Summit on the Information Society competition

  The Scratch MOOC for Teens (SM4T) course was selected on February 17, 2014, to participate in the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS 2014) competition. The public could vote until April 18, 2014. The results will be announced during the "WSIS+10 High-Level Event 2014" in Geneva, Switzerland, on a date to be determined. SM4T is the country’s first Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) focused on teaching programming to teenagers.
