• A student startup was selected as Uruguay’s sole finalist in the 2023 Santander X Global Award competition

  The startup Ganader IA, incubated at the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) and founded by students from the School of Engineering, was selected on December 21, 2023, as a finalist in the 2023 Santander X Global Award competition, an achievement that reflects recognition of its global impact.
• Dr. Paula Cardellino's project was approved for funding from ANII

  The project “Collaborative Design and Post-Occupancy Evaluation of Educational Infrastructure,” presented by Dr. Paula Cardellino, a research professor at the School of Architecture at Universidad ORT Uruguay, in collaboration with Andrés Riva, representing ANEP, has been approved for funding in response to ANII’s call for partnerships with scientists and technologists from abroad.

  Architect Jorge Mígues, an artist and professor in the Interior Design program at Universidad ORT Uruguay, is currently in Spain, where he is exhibiting one of his works at the renowned Port Gallery in Barcelona.
• Architect Maite Vázquez won^first prize in the preliminary design competition for UTEC’s new campus in Lavalleja

  Vázquez, a senior student in the Landscape Architecture program at the School of Architecture of Universidad ORT Uruguay, participated in the preliminary design as a landscape architecture consultant.
