  In November 2014, a multidisciplinary team was selected as a finalist in the “Solar Decathlon for Latin America and the Caribbean 2015” competition (Colombia).
• Startups supported by the CIE won first and second place in the “AppCircusMVD” competition

  Melisa Machado, an instructor of Oral and Written Expression and Creative Writing in the Bachelor of Communication program, received an honorable mention in the “Works in Verse and Prose Poems” category at the 2014 National Literature Award in November 2014 for her poetry collection *Cantos al fauno*.

  Marcelo Lanfranconi, a graduate in Systems Engineering and founder of the company Paganza, was one of the ten winners of the third edition of "Innovators Under 35 in Argentina and Uruguay."
• A team from the School of Engineering placed in the top 5% of the regional finals of the “ACM International Programming Contest”

  The team that won first prize in the “14th ORT Programming Contest,” organized last September by the School of Engineering, placed 84th out of 1,683 participating teams (in the top 5%) in the regional finals of the “ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) International Programming Contest.” The competition took place in Buenos Aires on November 8, 2014.
