• Graduate Wins Third Prize from the National Academy of Economics in 2018

  Álvaro Pereira Ramela, a graduate of the Bachelor of Economics program, won third prize in the 2018 edition of the Acadeco Awards (National Academy of Economics) for Young Economists for his paper “Agriculture in Uruguay: Possible Futures.”

  Zafrales, a startup incubated at the CIE that uses technology to connect companies and workers for all types of seasonal and temporary jobs in the agro-industrial sector, won the Pitch Competition at the Agtech Conference Latam, which took place in Buenos Aires on October 10 and 11, 2018.
• The ORT basketball team is the runner-up in the^12th San Andrés Olympics – Jorge Gordon Taylor Cup
